Invest 93L is currently headed to the northwest, and will shift north later today, this heading will take it to about 300miles east of North Carolina where it will begin interacting with an upper level low to its west. At that point, the tropical system could remain intact, or it could merge with low and create a powerful nor'easter. Both senarios would support TS force winds and widespread heavy rainfall. Strong high pressure that kept the region dry for so long, will slip east and force the storm system up towards the region.

While the model spread continues to be fairly large, there is still a consensus for a significant hit on SE New England. This situation would produce up to 2 inches of rain over western New England to locally as much as 8 inches over eastern New England! This would be on top of winds gusting between 40 and 50mph.
